InGenereCinema.com Gazzetta del Cinema e della Cultura Horror, del Fantastico, del Bizzarro e dello Straordinario
Roma, 20 febbraio 2025 – Giunto alla 45esima edizione, Fantafestival, la storica kermesse romana dedicata al cinema fantastico, ha aperto ufficialmente le submission per la nuova edizione, prevista per novembre 2025.
Registi, producer e autori di film, documentari e cortometraggi di genere horror, sci-fi, thriller e fantasy potranno candidare le proprie opere attraverso le piattaforme Filmfreeway [https://filmfreeway.com/Fantafestival] e Festhome [https://filmmakers.festhome.com/f/1821/], per concorrere all’assegnazione dei due “Pipistrelli d’Oro” – al Miglior Cortometraggio e al Miglior Lungometraggio.
Il Fantafestival, nato nel 1981, è il più longevo e uno dei più importanti festival italiani dedicati al cinema fantastico. Nel corso della sua lunga storia ha ospitato in Italia tutti i nomi più importanti della cinematografia fantastica mondiale: da attori cult come Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, John Carradine, Rutger Hauer, Robert Englund e Klaus Kinski, fino a registi e produttori come Roger Corman, Freddie Francis, George A. Romero, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Sam Raimi, e, fra gli italiani, Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci, e Lamberto Bava.
Con la direzione di Marcello Rossi e Luca Ruocco, Fantafestival 45 vede all’interno dello staff organizzativo della manifestazione Paolo Gaudio [regista, animatore e caporedattore di InGenereCinema.com], Gilda Signoretti [redattrice di InGenereCinema.com e documentalista nel settore televisivo] e Irene Scialanca [sceneggiatrice, drammaturga, story editor e redattrice di InGenereCinema.com ].
Nel comitato scientifico: Ivan Cenzi – Bizzarro Bazar [autore, esploratore del perturbante e collezionista di curiosità], Francesco Chello [content creator e collaboratore per IlCineocchio.it], Vincenzo De Divitiis [redattore di DarksideCinema.it], Riccardo Farina [redattore di DarksideCinema.it], Roberto Giacomelli [fondatore di DarksideCinema.it, programmista e selezionatore Rai4], Ludovico Lamarra [direttore di Nerdface.it e bassista Il Muro del Canto], Francesca Pizzutilo [redattrice di Nerdface.it], Orsola Trevisan [già collaboratrice del Fantafestival nelle edizioni 2013-2017 e 2024] e Giorgia Vaccarelli [redattrice di Nerdface.it].

FANTAFESTIVAL 2024: Submissions open!
Rome, February 20th, 2025 – Now in its 45th edition, Fantafestival, the historic Roman festival dedicated to fantasy cinema, has officially opened submissions for the new edition, scheduled for November 2025.
Directors, producers and authors of films, documentaries and short films in the horror, sci-fi, thriller and fantasy genres will be able to submit their works through the Filmfreeway [https://filmfreeway.com/Fantafestival] and Festhome [https://filmmakers.festhome.com/f/1821/] platforms, to compete for the assignment of the two “Golden Bat” – for Best Short Film and Best Feature Film.
Fantafestival, born in 1981, is the oldest and one of the most important Italian festivals dedicated to fantastic cinema. Over the course of its long history it has hosted in Italy all the most important names of world fantastic cinema: from cult actors such as Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, John Carradine, Rutger Hauer, Robert Englund and Klaus Kinski, to directors and producers such as Roger Corman, Freddie Francis, George A. Romero, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Sam Raimi, and, among the Italian ones, Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci, and Lamberto Bava.
Directed by Marcello Rossi and Luca Ruocco, Fantafestival 45 includes Paolo Gaudio [director, animator and editor-in-chief of InGenereCinema.com], Gilda Signoretti [editor of InGenereCinema.com and documentary maker in the television sector] and Irene Scialanca [screenwriter, playwright, story editor and editor of InGenereCinema.com] in the event’s organizational staff.
The scientific committee includes: Ivan Cenzi – Bizzarro Bazar [Author, explorer of the disturbing and collector of curiosities], Francesco Chello [content creator and collaborator for IlCineocchio.it], Vincenzo De Divitiis [editor of DarksideCinema.it], Riccardo Farina [editor of DarksideCinema.it], Roberto Giacomelli [founder of DarksideCinema.it, programmer and selector for Rai4], Ludovico Lamarra [director of Nerdface.it and bassist for Il Muro del Canto], Francesca Pizzutilo [editor of Nerdface.it], Orsola Trevisan [already a collaborator of Fantafestival in the 2013-2017 editions and 2024] and Giorgia Vaccarelli [editor of Nerdface.it]
